Srinagar 07/12/2024 (JKNN) Traffic is plying from both directions on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NHW). Commuters are advised to maintain lane discipline, as overtaking may lead to congestion. Passengers are further urged to undertake their journey during daylight hours and avoid unnecessary stops between Ramban and Banihal due to the risk of landslides or shooting stones.
Additionally, Mughal Road, Bhaderwah-Chamba Road, and Sinthan Road are open for vehicular movement. However, the Sonamarg-Kargil Road (SSG) is slippery due to frost, and traffic will only be permitted after clearance from BECON authorities. Travelers are advised to stay updated on road conditions before commencing their journey.
