Traffic Update: Advisory for Jammu-Srinagar NHW and Key Routes
27/11/2024 (JKNN) Traffic is moving smoothly in both directions on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NHW). Commuters are urged to maintain lane discipline, as overtaking can lead to traffic congestion. Passengers are advised to travel during the daytime and avoid unnecessary stops between Ramban and Banihal due to the risk of landslides and shooting stones.
Additionally, the Mughal Road, Bhaderwah-Chamba Road, and Sinthan Road are open for vehicular movement. However, the Sonamarg-Kargil road (Zoji La, SSG) remains slippery. Traffic on this route will be permitted only after clearance from BRO (Project BEACON) authorities. Travelers are advised to stay updated and exercise caution.
