Traffic Advisory: Vehicle Breakdowns and Nomadic Movements Cause Delays on Jammu-Srinagar NHW
17/10/2024 (JKNN) Traffic officials have informed JK News Nation of slow-moving traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NHW), particularly between Ramban and Banihal. The delays are attributed to vehicle breakdowns and the movement of nomadic flocks. Commuters are advised to maintain lane discipline and avoid overtaking, as it may lead to increased congestion.
Travelers are also encouraged to begin their journeys during the day to avoid disruptions caused by the nomads’ movement in the late hours. In other updates, the SSG Road, Mughal Road, Bhaderwah-Chamba Road, and NH-244 remain open for vehicular traffic.
