Tourism department seeks verification details from Valley Guide licence holders

Gulmarg, Jan 1, KNT: The Office of the Assistant Director Tourism, Gulmarg, has issued a formal notice directing all Valley Guide licence holders operating within its jurisdiction to submit requisite documents and details for verification and updation of official records.
According to the notice, the exercise is being undertaken to ensure authenticity, compliance, and maintenance of updated departmental records under the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Registration of Tourist Trade Act, related rules, and directions issued from time to time.
All individuals holding valid or expired Valley Guide licences issued by the competent authority and operating or claiming association with areas falling under the jurisdiction of the Assistant Director Tourism, Gulmarg, have been asked to comply with the directive.
The notice states that the required details and documents must be submitted within 15 days from the date of issuance or publication of the notice.
Licence holders can submit their documents in person at the Office of the Assistant Director Tourism, Gulmarg, during working hours, or alternatively through email by sending a single scanned PDF file to gulmargtourism@gmail.com.
The notice further mentions that after scrutiny, the office may call licence holders for physical verification or interaction and may also seek confirmation from the issuing authority or records wherever required.
Failure to submit the required documents within the stipulated time or submission of false or incorrect information will make the licence holder liable for appropriate action under the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Registration of Tourist Trade Act and other relevant rules. [KNT]
