Top Police, Civil Officers Visit Bereaved Family of Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq at Muqam-e-Shahwali Kupwara

Kupwara, Nov 16 (GNS): Senior police and civil officers on Sunday visited the residence of late Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq at Muqam-e-Shahwali, Drugmulla, to offer condolences to the bereaved family. The officer lost his life in the tragic accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station on Friday night.
Director General of Police (DGP) J&K Nalin Prabhat, Inspector General of Police , Special DG Coordination PHQ SJM Geelani, Rajya Sabha Member Chaudhary Mohammed Ramzan, and Additional SP Kupwara Fayaz Geelani were among the prominent officials who met the family to express solidarity in their hour of grief. Several other senior officers from the police, civil administration and security forces also accompanied them.
The visiting officials spent time with the family, offered prayers for the departed soul, and assured full support. They described Inspector Asrar as a committed, upright and compassionate officer who carried out his duties with exceptional professionalism.
Notably, Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq was among the nine individuals who died in the high-intensity accidental blast at Nowgam Police Station on Friday night. The explosion, officials said, occurred during the handling of seized explosives and also left several personnel injured. (GNS)
