Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Under Scanner as Police Raid Homes of Three Individuals in North Kashmir’s Sopore
Sopore, Dec 11, KNT: Sopore Police on Thursday said they conducted coordinated searches at several locations as part of the ongoing investigation into FIR No. 10/2024, registered under Sections 10 and 13 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. The operation focused on individuals allegedly linked to the banned organisation Tehreek-e-Hurriyat.
Police said searches were carried out at the residential houses and premises of three individuals identified as Zaffar Islam, also known as Yadullah Peer, son of Abdul Rasheed Peer of Dangerpora; Lateef Ahmad Kaloo, son of Ghulam Nabi Kaloo of Hanfia Colony, Arampora Sopore; and Mohammad Ashraf Malik, son of Mohammad Abdullah Malik of Tawheed Baghq Sopore.
The operation was conducted in the presence of an Executive Magistrate after police obtained valid search warrants from the Court of the Special Judge UAPA, Sopore. Officers said relevant material and electronic devices were examined on site and further legal procedures are being undertaken as part of the ongoing investigation. [KNT]
