Teacher suspended for violating MCC in Poonch
Poonch, Sep 11 (NVI): The Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Poonch has suspended a Grade-II teacher, from Government Middle School Dhangri, Zone Sathra, for allegedly participating in political activities during the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections.
In this regards, an order issued by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Poonch, a copy of which lies with the News Vibes of India (NVI) reads Shazia Amin, a Grade-II teacher in Government Middle School Dhangri, Zone Sathra, was, reportedly, engaged in political activities related to the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections, and was suspended by the Chief Education Officer (CEO), Poonch, based on a report by the Returning Officer for the 89-Poonch Haveli Assembly constituency.
It reads as the contribution of a teacher in a political rally with images circulating on social media, thus flouting the Model Code of Conduct, invited immediate disciplinary action.
“Pending an inquiry, Shazia Amin has been suspended and attached to DNRMM Girls Higher Secondary School, Poonch. An inquiry into the incident has been initiated, with the Principal of Model Higher Secondary School, Sawjian, and Principal of DNRMM Girls Higher Secondary School, Poonch as enquiry officers. They are expected to submit a report within a week,” reads the order.—(News Vibes of India)
