Strategic Security Conference in Srinagar: Addressing Challenges Amidst Middle East Unrest.

Sringar: 25/10/2023 (JKNN) Joint Security Review Meeting at BB Cantonment, Srinagar

On October 25, 2023, a security review meeting convened in the headquarters of 15 Corps in Srinagar, bringing together high-ranking officials from various security agencies operating in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. The purpose of this gathering was to synchronize efforts and devise security strategies, particularly in light of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.

The meeting was presided over by Shri R R Bhatnagar, Advisor to the Honorable Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, and Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi, the Army Commander of the Northern Command. The discussions encompassed a wide range of topics concerning the current security situation within the Union Territory. Notable attendees included the Director General of Police (Jammu & Kashmir), the Chinar Corps Commander, and several other senior officials representing the military, state administration, and security agencies. Furthermore, the assembly explored potential contingency scenarios associated with the Middle East situation.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the intricate aspects of security in the region, particularly concerning the imminent onset of the winter season.
