Updated: 12 people injured in bus accident inside Navyouga tunnel, 5 Shifed To GMC Anantnag

Srinagar, March 26:(GNS) At least 12 people were injured when a bus they were travelling in met with an accident inside Banihal Qazigund/Navyouga tunnel on Wednesday evening

The bus was on its way from Jammu to Srinagar when it met with the accident, officials told GNS.

They said that atleast twelve people were injured, who were immediately shifted to nearby hospital where from five of them were shifted to GMC Anantnag.

Dr Shugfta Salaam MS Qazigund, told GNS that we have received injured persons, out of them five have been shifted to GMC Anantnag from Qazigund hospital, the MS said. (GNS)

Banihal, Mar 26 (JKNS): An accident occurred inside the Banihal-Qazigund (Navyug) tunnel on Wednesday evening.

 

An official told news agency JKNS that the accident involved a Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) bus that was coming from Jammu towards Srinagar.

 

He said casualties are feared in the accident, and rescue teams have been rushed to the spot.

 

Authorities have begun assessing the situation and launched rescue operations inside the tunnel.
