Srinagar’s Batwara reeling under darkness since last night, allege residents

Srinagar, July 27 (KNO): The residents of Batwara area of Srinagar on Thursday said that they are reeling under darkness since last night as electricity supply in the area vanished amid heavy rainfall and strong winds.
The residents told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that despite more than 15 hours, electricity supply has not been restored in the area.
They said that due to heavy rainfall and strong winds some trees fell on the transmission line last night but till now, they have not been removed and power supply is yet to be restored.
No Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited official was available for comments as they did not respond to repeated calls—(KNO)
