Srinagar Residents Urge PDD to Provide Time for Clearing Dues Amid Winter Crisis
Srinagar 14/12/2024 : (JKNN) Resident of Srinagar, while speaking to JK News Nation, expressed concern over the Power Development Department (PDD) disconnecting electricity connections without proper consideration, even if a small amount of dues is pending. The resident stated, “PDD cuts electricity connections at the end of every month, which has become a major problem. Our financial situation is poor, and during the harsh winter months, we hardly get any work opportunities.”
They appealed to the authorities to provide some time for consumers to clear their pending electricity dues. “Considering our difficult circumstances, we request some leniency and additional time so that we can settle our payments and ensure uninterrupted electricity during the winter months,” they added.
Residents have urged PDD to act with compassion during the winter season and show leniency toward consumers struggling with financial hardships.
