Srinagar Police Arrest Drug Peddler, Recover Contraband during naka checking near Islamia College
10/12/2024 : (JKNN) Srinagar Police has arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A Police party of Police Station Nowhatta during naka checking near Islamia College apprehended an individual under suspicious circumstances. The suspected person has been identified as Haris Farooq son of Farooq Ahmad resident of Hakabazar Badamwari. During search, SpasmoProxyvon capsules were recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 56/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Nowhatta and further investigation initiated.
We urge the public that if you witness drug peddling or any other crime anywhere near you, feel free to contact nearest police establishment or dial 112. People are requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per law.
