22/11/2023 (JKNN) In a proactive move to address encroachment challenges, officials from the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) orchestrated a comprehensive anti-encroachment drive.
The initiative, spanning the stretch from Hawal to Old Botakadal in Srinagar, aimed to reclaim public spaces and maintain the city’s structural integrity.
Leading the charge was the Anti-Encroachment Officer, whose role was pivotal in strategizing and executing the operation effectively.
Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh, a representative from Ward No. 10, lent local insight and support to the endeavor.
His involvement underscored the community-driven approach, aligning with the broader goal of creating livable and accessible urban spaces.
Adding a layer of enforcement expertise were officers from the North and East regions.
Their collaboration with SMC officials ensured a well-coordinated effort to identify, document, and address encroachments along the designated route. The enforcement officers brought a nuanced understanding of local dynamics, contributing to the success of the operation.
This anti-encroachment initiative reflects the commitment of SMC and its partners to uphold civic order, fostering a cityscape that prioritizes public welfare.
The concerted efforts of the Anti-Encroachment Officer, local representative Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh, and the enforcement team exemplify a proactive approach to urban management, setting a precedent for responsible governance and community engagement.
