27/05/2024 (JKNN) Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has intensified its anti-encroachment drive across various parts of the city.

Under the strict supervision of Mr. Mohammad Syed, Anti-Encroachment Officer for the North Zone, and team leader Javid Ahmad Sheikh, the dedicated squad is actively working to clear unauthorized structures and reclaim public spaces.

The drive is being carried out in key areas including SKIMS, Soura, Maternity Hospital ,Lal Bazar, Nowshera, Kanitar, Saderbal, University Road, and Nigeen.

The SMC’s initiative aims to improve urban management and ensure that public areas are accessible and free from illegal encroachments.

This ongoing campaign is part of a broader effort to enhance the city’s infrastructure and maintain order in public spaces.

The authorities have assured that the drive will continue until all targeted areas are cleared, ensuring a more organized and accessible environment for the community.
