In celebration of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W) the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), under the guidance of Director Prof. Mohd Ashraf Ganie, hosted a free medical camp aimed at providing essential healthcare services to the underserved. The event was managed by Prof. Farooq Jhan, Medical Superintendent, and was closely supervised by Ishtyiaq Beigh, President of the JK Government Employees Conference.

The camp focused on offering free medical consultations, treatments, and medications for common ailments. Attendees, including a large number of residents from nearby communities, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to receive necessary medical attention without cost. The camp was especially significant given the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, a time for reflection, compassion, and helping those in need.

The event was organized as part of SKIMS’s ongoing commitment to providing accessible healthcare, particularly to marginalized sections of society. Healthcare professionals, volunteers, and support staff worked diligently to ensure that each patient received personalized care and attention.

Speaking about the event, Prof. Mohd Ashraf Ganie emphasized the importance of such initiatives during key religious occasions, stating, “This medical camp reflects our dedication to serving the community and ensuring that healthcare is accessible to all, especially during times of spiritual significance.”

Ishtyiaq Beigh, the President of the JK Government Employees Conference, also highlighted the role of the camp in bringing the community together, underscoring the need for continued efforts to support the healthcare needs of the less fortunate.

The free medical camp concluded successfully, with hundreds of individuals benefiting from the services provided. This initiative reinforced SKIMS’s mission of making healthcare accessible and affordable, while fostering a sense of community and compassion during Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi.
