Shopian Encounter update : Two Militants Killed in Ongoing Operation

Oct 10 (JKNN) – Two militants have been killed in the intense encounter that erupted in the Alshipora area of Shopian district on Monday night, according to reliable sources.

Official sources have confirmed the deaths of two militants, but the operation continues as security forces work to secure the area.

Efforts are currently underway to recover the bodies of the militants from the site of the encounter.

The killed militants have been identified as Morifat Maqbool and Jazim Farooq, who operated under the banner of the LeT militant outfit. Notably, militant Abrar was responsible for the killing of Kashmiri Pandit, the late Sanjay Sharma, according to ADGP Kashmir

On Monday night, the Kashmir Zone police posted an update on Twitter, announcing that an encounter had commenced in the Alshipora area of Shopian. Both police and security forces are actively engaged in the operation, with further updates expected as the situation unfolds.
