Srinagar, March 12: In a shocking incident during the holy month of Ramadan, thieves have damaged an electrical transformer and stolen essential wiring in Bakshi Pora Noorbagh, Srinagar.
Residents reported that the 250 kV transformer was targeted, leaving the entire locality in distress.
Speaking to our correspondent, locals expressed their anger and disappointment. “We are in shock.
At a time when we need electricity the most, such an act has made our lives difficult,” said a resident.
Theft of electrical infrastructure has been a recurring issue in various parts of Srinagar, causing severe inconvenience to the public. Residents have urged the authorities to take immediate action and restore power at the earliest.
