Woman Critically Injured After Being Hit by Car in Awantipora
Pulwama, Oct 20, KNT: A 50-year-old woman from Pulwama sustained critical injuries after being hit by a car while crossing the road in Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday evening.
Reports reaching Kashmir News Trust said that the accident occurred near the Dumping Yard in Awantipora when a Swift car hit the woman who was attempting to cross the road. Locals and police immediately rushed to the spot and shifted her to the nearby Public Health Centre (PHC) Awantipora.
Medical officials at PHC Awantipora confirmed that the woman had suffered severe trauma injuries and was subsequently referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment.
The injured has been identified as Mehmooda, wife of Mohammad Yaseen Dar, a resident of Dangerpora Pulwama.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated proceedings into the matter. [KNT]
