Imran Shah Reaffirms Commitment to Restore J&K’s Statehood; Aims to Transform Anantnag into a Model Town

Attends High-Level Meetings Across Anantnag-Achabal Blocks

Anantnag, October 13: (JKNN) Senior National Conference leader, Imran Amin Shah, held a series of crucial meetings at Housing Colony Khanabal in Anantnag Block and Sunsoma in Achabal Block, within the Anantnag Central Constituency, to present his vision for the region’s development.

Accompanied by Anantnag Block President Hilal Ahmad Khanday, Achabal Block President Abdul Salam Dar, several Halqa Presidents, and numerous party workers, Shah expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of the workers and voters who contributed to the alliance candidates’ success in the recent Assembly Elections.

During his address, Shah pledged to bring a new era of development to Anantnag, which he said has been overlooked for years. “We will turn Anantnag into a model town,” Shah declared. “The previous government ignored its potential, but we are committed to making Anantnag a hub of development and progress.”

Shah also urged National Conference leadership, especially former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, to prioritize the restoration of Jammu & Kashmir’s statehood, calling it a fundamental right of the people. “The restoration of statehood is not just a political demand but essential for the dignity and future of Jammu and Kashmir’s people,” Shah stressed.

Later, Shah visited Donipawa, Shirpora, Hazratbal, and surrounding areas, where he was warmly welcomed by local women. He thanked them for their support and vowed to address their concerns collaboratively.
