Security forces recover arms, ammunition during search operation in Lolab Kupwara
Srinagar, June 27 (KS):- Security forces on Thursday claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition during search operation in Lolab area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A senior police officer told news agency Kashmir Scroll that on 26-06-2024, acting on a specific information/input a search operaton was launched by Police and Army 28/ RR, 47 RR and 162 BN CRPF in the forest area of Andernard Gagal forest area during search operation Arms/ammunition Ak47 Mag-02 No, Ak47 Rds=199 Rds, RPG Shell 01 No, Chines H. Grenade =04 Nos , M-17 H. Grenades=04 Nos were recovered.
He said these arms and ammunition were hidden by the unknown terrorists/ OGWs for carrying out terrorist activities in the area of Lolab.
He added that in this regard case FIR No. 37/2024 U/S 7/27 I a Act, 13,18,20,23,39 UA(P) Act registered and investigation taken.
This operation has delivered a major blow to the nefarious designs of Pak based terrorist groups who have always aspired to disturb the peace and tranquillity in Kashmir valley, the officer said.(KS)
