Security Forces Conduct Intensive Search Operation in Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Dec 22 (KS): Security forces are conducting an intensive search operation in Kishtwar district, a top police officer said.

The police officer informed news agency Kashmir Scroll that the search operation is being conducted in backdrop of an ongoing encounter in adjacent district Poonch.

“Many houses are also being searched as part of the operation”, the officer said.

Pertinently, an encounter is underway in Surankote Poonch which has so far claimed the lives of five soldiers and two others are under treatment. (KS)
