Sajad Lone Demands Removal of Dividers on Handwara Roads

Handwara, Jan 12, KNT: Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Lone has called for the immediate removal of road dividers in Handwara, citing safety concerns and the inadequacy of road width to accommodate such structures.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Lone expressed his concern, stating: “Dividers have been set up in main market Handwara. The roads in Handwara town are not wide enough to accommodate dividers. This has resulted in accidents. A youth was saved yesterday miraculously. The dividers need to be removed urgently.”

The installation of dividers in the bustling Handwara market has drawn criticism from residents and commuters, who argue that the narrow roads leave little space for smooth traffic movement. The dividers, rather than improving traffic flow, have reportedly become a hazard, leading to increased accidents and congestion. [KNT]
