Kashmir higher reaches receive fresh snowfall, temperature plummets
Gurez-Bandipora and Srinagar-Kargil roads are closed
Srinagar, Oct. 16 (KS): The higher reaches of the Kashmir Valley on Monday morning experienced a fresh spell of snow, while the plains received rainfall, leading to a significant drop in the maximum temperatures.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir Scroll (KS)—that the higher reaches of the valley experienced fresh snowfall while the plains saw heavy rains.
He said that continuous rain throughout the night and snowfall on Razdan Top and surrounding areas forced the authorities to close Bandipora-Gurez Road.
Meanwhile, rain lashed other parts of the Kashmir valley, resulting in a considerable dip in the maximum temperature.
The authorities have also closed the Srinagar-Kargil road for traffic movement due to fresh snow at the Zojila pass. (KS)
