Srinagar 11/10/2024 (JKNN) In the Nowshera area of Srinagar, residents are raising alarms over the severe garbage buildup in Nallah Amir Khan near Shafia Kadal, Nalabal.
A video captured by concerned locals shows the canal clogged with waste, causing foul odors to spread throughout the neighborhood.
The unhygienic conditions have left many residents worried about the potential spread of diseases due to the pollution and stagnant water.
Locals have reported feeling helpless as the issue has persisted for weeks, creating a public health hazard for those living nearby. They are now appealing to the local authorities for immediate action, urging for the Nallah to be cleaned before the situation worsens. Residents are also expressing their frustration, stating that the stench and filth have made their daily lives difficult, and the risk of illness is growing.
