RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das Hospitalised in Chennai, Condition Stable
26/11/2024 (JKNN) Shaktikanta Das, the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai earlier today due to a minor health issue. The central bank confirmed that he had been experiencing acidity and was taken to the hospital for observation.
An RBI spokesperson provided a health update, stating, “Reserve Bank of India Governor Shri Shaktikanta Das experienced acidity and was admitted in Apollo Hospital, Chennai for observation. He is now doing fine and will be discharged in the next 2-3 hours. There is no cause for concern.”
Das is reported to be recovering well and is expected to leave the hospital shortly.
