Rajouri Gunfight: Two Soldiers Injured, Operation On

Rajouri, Oct. 03 (KS) : Two Army soldiers were injured in an ongoing gunfight at Tata Pani area of Kalakote in Rajouri district of Jammu Division on Tuesday sources said.

Sources told Srinagar-based news gathering agency Kashmir Scroll that in the initial exchange of fire, Two personnel of the Army sustained injuries.

All the injured soldiers were immediately evacuated from the spot and were shifted to MI hospital for treatment where there condition is said to be stable.

Meanwhile an army official told Kashmir Scroll that the operation in the area is underway to track down the militants hiding.

He said intense operations are underway in the woods of Kalakote area of Rajouri to monitor the militants.

The operation was jointly launched by Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police the officer added.

The encounter broke out in the woods on Monday evening after a day-long search operation. (KS)
