28/07/2024 : (JKNN) After a prolonged period of intense heat, several areas in Kashmir, particularly in South Kashmir’s Shopian district, finally experienced rainfall.
This downpour has provided significant relief to the residents who have been suffering from the sweltering heat.
The temperature in Kashmir has been uncharacteristically high, creating challenging conditions for the people living .
However, the recent rainfall has brought a welcome change, easing the discomfort caused by the heatwave.Notably, historical weather event as a 132-year-old record was broken.
The minimum temperature in Kashmir soared to an unprecedented 24.6°C. This rare phenomenon has further highlighted the extreme weather patterns the region has been experiencing.
The rain in Shopian and other parts of South Kashmir is a much-needed respite for the people, offering a break from the relentless heat.
