Srinagar 30/10/2024 (JKNN) A private school in Srinagar is reportedly pressuring parents to clear outstanding fees, warning that students will not be allowed to attend classes if payments aren’t made. The parent explained that due to financial hardship and health issues, they have been unable to pay fees for few months. “It’s only few months of fees, and I’m trying my best to manage. But instead, I received a warning to keep my children at home,” said the parent, whose children are in the 2nd and 7th grades.
They appealed to local authorities, asking if a school can’t bear a short delay for struggling families, especially considering the students’ right to education. The parent urged the administration to review such policies, calling for more empathy and flexibility for parents in difficult situations.
