Power Shutdown Alert: KPDCL Announces Scheduled Outages Across Several Areas
SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 22: (JKNN) The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across multiple districts for maintenance and upgradation works, the Chief Engineer (Distribution) said on Wednesday.
According to officials, the 33 KV Kanipora–Pinjoora line will remain shut, affecting power supply to Arhama, Pinjoora, and Chowdharygund receiving stations. Consequently, areas including Town, Arhama, Trenz, Pinjoora, Killora, Imamsahib, Vehil, Nowgam, Reshinagri, Pahnoo, Zawoora, Shirmal, and adjoining localities will face outages from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM on October 25, 27, and 30, 2025.
Similarly, shutdowns have been scheduled for the 33 KV Tral-1st line and 33 KV Tral-II AIIMS Awantipora line, affecting Tral, Dadsara, Chewa, Tral Bala, Noorpora, Lurgam, Gulabagh, Aripal, IUST, Rice Mills, Awantipora-I and II receiving stations. Power supply to Tral, Diver, Pinglish, Chandrigam, Mandoora, Khalil, Bajwani, Noorpora, Banagund, Lurgam, Nanar, Taki, Lam, Jawaharpora, Aripal, Khangund, Satoora, Awantipora, Midoora, Victor Force, and nearby areas will remain affected from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM on October 23, 2025.
The 33 KV Tapline of Tral-1st line from Nowdal will also undergo maintenance, affecting Tral, Tral-i-Bala, and Chewa receiving stations, with outages scheduled on October 27, 30, and November 3 & 6, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM.
Furthermore, the 33 KV Kanipora–Batapora line will remain off on October 26, 2025, impacting Batapora, DC Office Shopian (Dedicated), and Gagren receiving stations. Areas including Town Shopian, Meemandhar, Sharatpora, Shahlatoo, Sedew, Hurpora, and Devpora will face power disruption from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
In addition, the 33 KV Lassipora–Reshipora line shutdown will affect Reshipora receiving station and adjoining areas like Zainapora, Chitragam, Turkawangam, Aglar, Nagbal, Reban, Sugan, and Awnera on October 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Likewise, the 33 KV Lassipora–Landoora line will be off on October 25 and 29, 2025, disrupting supply to Landoora, Mooman, Chakoora, Hermain, Hajipora, Mantribugh, Momin, Wachi, Babapora, and nearby localities from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Additionally, the Batamaloo receiving station in Srinagar will remain off on October 23, 2025, affecting power supply to Batamaloo, Firdousabad, Magarmal Bagh, and adjoining areas from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
KPDCL has advised residents and business establishments in the affected areas to plan accordingly and cooperate during the maintenance period for improved and reliable power supply in the future.
