Power Shutdown Alert in North Kashmir on January 2, 2025

Srinagar, December 31: (JKNN) The Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, has announced power shutdowns across several areas in North Kashmir on January 2, 2025, for maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.

Sopore: Power supply to Hospital, Model Town, Kapra, and Noorbagh will remain disrupted from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM due to stabilization work on the 33KV Sadiq Colony Tap line.

Baramulla: Power outages will affect Baramulla-1st, Kanli Bagh, and GMC Baramulla from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for pole replacement and gate construction.

Old Town & Janbazpora, Sopore: Affected from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM due to shutdown of 33KV Baramulla-II line.

Amargrah & Krankshivan Colony: Power supply will be disrupted from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM owing to work on the 33KV Delina-Sopore line.

Budgam District: Areas like Ompora Housing Colony, Khanpora, NIFT, and Police Line Ompora will face outages from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM for the execution of work at the under-construction Receiving Station Ompora.

Residents are advised to plan accordingly.
