Police Head Constable killed, two officers injured in Kathua encounter: ADGP Jammu
‘Massive mopping Ops on’
Jammu, Sep 29 (NVI): Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu range Anand Jain today said that a police Head Constable lost his life while two policemen were injured who are out of danger. He said a massive search operation is underway in Kathua woods to hunt down the hiding terrorists.
Speaking to reporters in Jammu, ADGP Kumar said that a joint operation was launched yesterday in Kog area of Bilawar in Kathua district. “In the exchange of fire, a Head Constable Bashir Ahmed was killed while as ASI and a DySP were injured who are stable now,” he said.
He said the massive search operation is on to track down the terrorists. He said there are inputs about three to four terrorists are hiding in the area.
He said inputs have revealed that they are foreign terrorists.
He said police and other forces will ensure smooth elections for the third phase scheduled for October 1 (News Vibes of India)
