Disturbing Incident Unfolds: Boyfriend Apprehended for Assault on 19-Year-Old Pregnant Girl in Delhi
NEW DELHI: Days after a 19-year-old woman was found in a critical condition in east Delhi, police have arrested her 23-year-old boyfriend in the case. Police said the woman was pregnant, and she had told the accused that she was bearing his child, which he denied. Later, he gave her pregnancy termination pills and made a plan to attack her.
Police said that at 9 am on January 11, they got a PCR call about an injured teenager lying on the roadside. She had injuries on face, neck and head. A case under section 307 (attempted murder) of IPC was registered.
Her family told cops that she had a boyfriend who they suspected as the attacker. “We scanned around 120 CCTV cameras and questioned nearly 50 suspects and based on that, we nabbed the accused,” additional deputy commissioner of police (east) Achin Garg said.st
