Party wants Mehbooba Mufti to contest from Pulwama – Srinagar parliamentary seat
Srinagar, Mar 05, KDC: The PDP party is advocating for Mehbooba Mufti to run for the Pulwama-Srinagar parliamentary seat, sources said.
As the elections draw nearer, the National Conference is striving to dismantle the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), aiming to sideline the PDP from the coalition. They vehemently oppose any seat-sharing agreement with the PDP.
Recent developments indicate that PDP activists from Pulwama, Shopian, Ganderbal, and Srinagar are urging the party president to spearhead the parliamentary elections and represent their voices.
Given the party’s significant support base in Pulwama and Shopian, it could prove decisive in securing victory, a PDP leader told Kashmir Dot Com. The party is actively pursuing this strategy, especially considering its strong foothold in Pulwama Shopian, he said. (KDC)
