Paddy Crop Gutted in Bandipora Village

Bandipora, Oct 15 (KS) : Heaps of paddy dry grass were destroyed in a mysterious blaze at Gundjahangir Village in the Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday evening.
Reports reaching News Agency Kashmir Scroll said that the unfortunate event witnessed around two bundles of paddy belonging to Mohammad Ayoub Dar, son of Gh Nabi Dar a resident of Gundjahangir, turning to ashes.
Reports said despite the locals’ desperate attempts to control the fire, timely action by the Army’s 13 RR Shahgund unit and local fire tender officials prevented a major catastrophe.
They efficiently contained the fire and successfully extinguished the flames, curbing its further spread reports said.
The Indian Army’s 13rr Shahgund Unit played a crucial role in extinguishing the fire and assured the affected locals that anyone found responsible for this criminal act will face strict consequences reports added.
A police officer told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that investigating has been set into motion into the case. (KS)
