Northern Army Commander reviews security in Kashmir
Srinagar, Feb 24 (KS) : Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General M V Suchindra Kumar conducted a comprehensive review of the security situation in Kashmir on Saturday.
An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that during his madian visit, the army chief also visited the forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir to assess the effectiveness of the counter-infiltration grid and ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the hinterland.
The official said that during his visit he was also briefed on the CT grid, soldier-citizen connect & operational preparedness.
The Army Commander appreciated the Operational alacrity of the formations and exhorted all ranks to maintain the Op tempo he said.
The official further said that the Northern Army commander also met with Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) R R Swain.
He said the commander expressed his wholehearted appreciation for the preparedness and efficiency of the formations under his command. (KS)
