NIA Attaches Properties of Four Persons for Terrorism Links in Kashmir
Kupwara, Feb 24 (KS) : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) said it had attached properties of four persons accused of being involved in terrorism in the northern region of Kashmir.Official sources told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that action against the persons is part of the intensified security crackdown in Kashmir and that the four properties were seized as part of RC 03/2020 allegedly involving the members of outfits Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), among others.They said the following RC 03/2020 NIA Jammu case in Narco-terrorism case involving Hizb ul Mujahideen and Lashkar e Toiba terror ecosystem, 4 properties attached in north Kashmir’s Handwara.They said that NIA, which has also seized a total of Rs 2.27 crore in cash under Section 25 of the UA(P) Act.They said the case relates to the use of the proceeds of narcotic drugs to fund nefarious terrorist activities by LeT and HM operating in the Handwara-Kupwara region.
