Today, Local Residents of Saderbal Hazratbal Took a Great Initiative and Saved People from an Accident
22/03/2025 (JKNN) Hazratbal, Srinagar – Today, the local residents of Saderbal Hazratbal took a remarkable step by preventing a potential accident.
A major pothole in the middle of a very busy road, which leads to Hazratbal Dargah Shrine and Kashmir University, had become a serious hazard for both pedestrians and vehicles.
The pothole had been there for quite some time, posing a significant risk. Since the concerned authorities did not take action despite repeated requests, the local residents decided to fix it themselves.
Using their own money, they bought construction materials and repaired the road to ensure safety for everyone.
Expressing their frustration, the locals said, “This is shameful for the authorities. We requested them multiple times to fix the road, but they never did. We were left with no choice but to repair it ourselves.”
This road is one of the busiest in the area, with heavy traffic throughout the day.
If left unattended, the pothole could have led to a major accident. The residents’ initiative is being widely appreciated, and people are urging the authorities to take timely action on such issues to prevent future risks.
