01/07/2024 (JKNN) IN 90ft Soura, Srinagar, the condition of the 90ft Road has deteriorated significantly, posing serious challenges to both students and pedestrians alike.
Despite repeated complaints and appeals from residents, the road remains riddled with deep potholes and prone to severe waterlogging, Local students, who rely on this route daily to reach educational institutions, find themselves navigating through hazardous conditions, risking accidents and injuries due to the uneven and submerged sections of the road.
“It’s a nightmare every day,” lamented Shabir Ahmed, a college student.
“We have to jump over puddles and maneuver around the potholes, which not only delays us but also puts us in danger.
“Residents and commuters have criticized the authorities for their inaction despite numerous assurances over the years.
The neglect of basic infrastructure like roads impacts everyone’s quality of life,” emphasized Resident khalid bin Yousuf “It’s high time the authorities prioritize the well-being of citizens and fulfill their responsibilities.”As residents await concrete actions, the plight of students and pedestrians on the 90ft Road in Soura, Srinagar serves as a poignant reminder of the challenges faced due to infrastructure neglect, urging to act swiftly before further harm is done.
