NC Government Committed to Tourism Revival, Employment Generation, and Public Welfare: Imran Shah
“Shah Calls for Uninterrupted Power, Water Supply During Ramadhan”
Anantnag, Feb 17: (JKNN) Welcoming the government’s decision to reopen all tourist destinations across Jammu and Kashmir, Senior National Conference (NC) leader and District vice President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah, stated that the NC government led by Omar Abdullah is fully committed to the holistic development of the Union Territory.
Shah said the reopening of tourist destinations will significantly boost the local economy and create employment opportunities for local youth and other stakeholders associated with the tourism sector. He emphasized that Jammu and Kashmir, being heavily dependent on tourism, requires focused and decisive planning to expand its tourism potential by exploring new avenues and bringing more areas under this vital industry.
He was speaking at a function held at Issos in central Anantnag today, where several key workers of Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) joined the National Conference.
While welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Shah said that rampant nepotism, corruption, and favoritism had suffocated dedicated workers within the PDP. He added that they were convinced by the pro-people decisions and developmental initiatives taken by the National Conference, prompting them to extend their support to the party.
In view of the holy month of Ramadhan, Shah urged the administration to ensure an uninterrupted supply of electricity and water, particularly during Sehri and Iftaar hours. He also called for adequate availability of ration, LPG, and other essential commodities during the sacred month. Furthermore, he stressed the need for regular market inspections to prevent price hikes and overcharging of essential goods.
Shah added that the Omar-led government has focused on key decisions aimed at strengthening the economy, addressing public demands, and restoring social welfare measures.
On this occasion Shah was accompanied by Block President Achabal, Ab Salam Dar; Vice President, Gul Mohammad Dar and other senior and prominent leaders of the National Conference.
