Miscreant running “Pulwama News” facebook page for anti-national activities arrested: Police
Srinagar, Sep 21, KDC: In order to maintain peace & tranquillity, Police in Pulwama have taken action against anti-national activities by arresting a social media user who was inciting general public and promoting terror activities.
In a statement according to news agency Kashmir Dot Com Police said “It has come to light that an individual was running a fake social media account with the name “Pulwama News” and was involved in uploading videos and pictures of terrorists killed in the Kokernag encounter. This account was created to promote the activities of the terrorists and spread fear among the general public, which posed a severe threat to the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country.”
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 98/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation was initiated, it said.
Police further said “During the course of investigation, the accused identified as Ashiq Ah Khan son of Bashir Ah Khan resident of Niloora Khan Mohalla has been arrested for carrying out such unlawful activities. The investigation of the case is going on.”
We urge the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with the Police to nab the miscreants who are inimical to the peace and tranquillity.
