Srinagar, Feb 02 (KNO): Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulama (MMU) Chief and Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of the mother of Jammu & Kashmir’s grand Mufti, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam, a senior-most member of the Majlis and the chairman of Muslim Personal Law Board Chairman.
He expressed condolence and solidarity with other bereaved family members, including mufti Fareed u din. The deceased was the cousin of shaheed e Millat and an aunt to the Mirwaiz.
In his condolence message issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Mirwaiz said the deceased was a virtuous and God-fearing woman and a very loving and kind person. He prayed for the highest place in Jannat for the departed soul and patience to the bereaved family members.
A delegation of functionaries on the direction of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, attended the funeral prayers of the deceased and expressed condolences with Mufti Nasirul Islam and other bereaved family members.
Meanwhile, Awami Action Committee has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of Haji Ghulam Hassan Langoo, son of Haji Abdul Rahim Langu , resident of Alamgiri Bazar, and Ghulam Nabi Pandit, resident of Nowpura, Srinagar, who were close friends of the Mirwazeen family. The organisation expressed condolences and sympathies with the bereaved families.
A delegation of the organisation visited the residences of the bereaved families and conveyed the Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir’s message of condolence and consolation to them. The delegation also prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed souls—(KNO)
