Mirwaiz greets people on Me’raj-e-Aalam
Srinagar, Feb 07 (KNO): Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, also the Chief of Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulama, has extended heartfelt greetings to Muslims on the auspicious occasion of the Me’raj-e-Aalam – the night of the ascension of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Mirwaiz said that 1445 years ago, the journey that the Prophet (PBUH) made from Masjid-e-Haram to Masjid al-Aqsa and from there to Maqam Qab and Qausin and la makan is called Me’raj.
He said that Meraj-un-Nabi (PBUH) is a practical miracle of the prophet which actually was the revolution in human thought and consciousness. Therefore, since the ascension of Hazrat Mohsin Insaniyat (PBUH), the desire for research, investigation, search and quest arose in the human world and the modern man became capable of conquering the moon and stars, he said. It will continue to be celebrated as a memorial until Resurrection, and new areas of thought and vision will continue to be discovered by it.
On this occasion, Mirwaiz prayed to Allah to grant Muslims the ability to understand and follow the true spirit, philosophy and message of Me’raj-e-Aalam.
Meanwhile, according to the statement of Anjuman Auqaf, Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir will deliver a sermon on the philosophy of Me’raj in detail on Friday, February 9, 2024, in the historic Central Jama Masjid, Srinagar. People are requested to participate in this auspicious event. The Friday prayers will be offered at 2:00 pm, the Anjuman informed—(KNO)
