Minor girl mauled by Leopard in Handwara, referred to Srinagar; condition critical
Srinagar, Sep 09 (NVI) : A 4-year-old girl was mauled by a wild leopard inside her home in the Khudi Qalamabad area of Handwara on Sunday evening, officials said.
An official told News Vibes of India (NVI) that the minor girl was attacked by a wild leopard inside her home in Khudi Qalamabad, Handwara, on the evening before.
He said the incident occurred the previous evening, and she was immediately taken to the District Hospital Handwara for medical treatment. From there, she was referred for specialized treatment to SKIMS Soura due to the grievous nature of her injuries. Her condition is reported to be critical.
He added that the girl was later identified as Adeeba Jan (4), daughter of Aijaz Ahmad Khan, a resident of Khudi Qalamabad, Handwara.
Meanwhile, an investigation has been initiated.—(News Vibes of India)
