Kargil, Jul 22 (KNO): Authorities on Saturday evening retrieved one body in Kargil while a massive rescue operation is going on to trace four others, who went missing after a vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident near Kaksar area, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the driver of the vehicle bearing registration number JK16B-2015, heading from Drass to Kargil lost control over his vehicle and subsequently the vehicle fell into the river.
“As soon as the news broke, Police, NDRF and other rescue teams arrived at the scene of the accident,” he said.
Furthermore, the body of one person was retrieved from the water and the rescue operations was underway,” he said, adding that police have already registered the case, and further investigation has been taken up.
