Massive Power Shutdown to Impact Multiple Areas in South and North Kashmir
Srinagar, January 25: (JKNN) The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of power shutdowns across various areas for infrastructure upgrades and maintenance. These scheduled outages will affect dozens of villages and towns across South and North Kashmir on specific dates.
Key Details of the Shutdowns:
1. 29 January 2025:
33KV Awantipora-Sangam Line I & II:
Affected Areas: Mirhama, Sangam, Khellan, Rakh Litter, Naina, Batapora, Saimoh, Kaigam, and others.
Timing: 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM.
Delina-Sopore Line:
Affected Areas: Sopore Town, Amargarh, Krankshivan Colony, and nearby areas.
Timing: 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM.
2. 01 & 09 February 2025:
33KV Lassipora Lines (Multiple Lines):
Affected Areas: Pulwama, Pinglena, Tenghar, Zainapora, Mitrigam, Keegam, Lassipora, and others.
Timing: 10:00 AM to 04:30 PM.
3. 28 January 2025:
Delina-Amargarh Circuit I:
Affected Areas: Sopore, Rohama, Chakloo, Tangdhar, Trehgam, Handwara, Machil, and surrounding regions.
Timing: 11:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
4. 30 January, 04 & 06 February 2025:
33KV Budgam-Parthan Line:
Affected Areas: Samsaan, Parthan, Waterhail PHE Substation.
Timing: 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM.
The KPDCL has urged the public to bear with the inconvenience as these shutdowns are essential for upgrading infrastructure, erecting poles, and augmenting conductors to ensure better and more reliable power supply in the future.
