Massive Consignment From Delhi Seized: 17,450 Kg Polythene Recovered

Major Polythene Consignment Seized at Budgam Railway Station
Budgam, Dec 12 (JKNN):
The Railway Wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, in coordination with the Pollution Control Board, Kashmir, has seized a major consignment of banned polythene bags at Budgam Railway Station.
While Talking To Jknewsnation Officials said that 698 sacks, each weighing around 25 kilograms, were recovered from an incoming parcel train during an inspection drive. Preliminary checks revealed that the consignment had been dispatched from Delhi and was meant for illegal sale and distribution in Srinagar.
The entire shipment has been confiscated, and a formal investigation has been launched to trace those involved in transporting and attempting to circulate the banned material.
Police said further action will follow as the probe progresses.
