Many Political Leaders, Academicians, police officals condole Demise of Father-in-law of Sheikh Adil kashmirs Renowned Fitness Expert

Srinagar 8 September 2024: Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President and Supremo of the National Conference (NC), visited Astaanpora Rawalpora to offer his condolences on the passing of Gh. Nabi Bhat, a respected political figure and father-in-law of renowned fitness expert Sheikh Adil. Ghulam Nabi Bhat was former corporator Ikhrajpora Srinagar.

In a press statement, Dr. Abdullah expressed profound sorrow over Mr. Bhat’s untimely death, describing him as a “pious and down-to-earth personality.” He highlighted the loss as a significant blow to both the Bhat family and Sheikh Adil, noting the deep personal grief experienced by the family.

During his visit, Dr. Abdullah also addressed pressing social issues, including the rising problem of drug addiction among youth and the need for a return to core Islamic teachings. He emphasized the importance of regular prayers, urging the younger generation to adhere to the practice of offering five daily prayers.

The condolence gathering was attended by a broad spectrum of dignitaries, including Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari, former MLAs, MPs, bureaucrats, university officials, and representatives from various segments of society. The assembly reflected the respect and admiration that Mr. Bhat commanded throughout his life and career.
