Man Dies of Alleged Suffocation in Sumbal Bandipora

Srinagar, Dec 26 (KS): A man died of alleged suffocation in Sumbal area of North Kashmir Bandipora district.
An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that one Nazir Ahmad Sofi, son of Mohammad Abdullah, resident of Sarie Dagarpora in Sumbal was taken to JVC hospital Srinagar in an unconscious condition.
“The doctors at the hospital declared the person as brought dead on arrival”, the official said adding “the person is believed to have died of asphyxiation (suffocation).”
A police official has also confirmed the death of the person to Kashmir Scroll. “We are gathering more details regarding the incident”, the official said. (KS)
