Major Anti-Encroachment Operation Conducted By SMC Across Key Srinagar Locations

Extensive Anti-Encroachment Drive Launched in Key Areas

Srinagar, May 31, 2024 – (JKNN)

In a significant move to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and pedestrian movement, an extensive anti-encroachment drive was carried out By SMC at several critical locations, including Tanki Pora, DC Office, Shaheed Gunj, Jehangir Chowk, and Karanagar, The operation was conducted under the strict supervision of the Assistant Executive Officer (AEO) West and his dedicated team.

The drive, which aimed to clear illegal encroachments obstructing public spaces, saw the immediate removal of unauthorized structures and vendors from the designated areas.

Offenders were issued stern warnings against future encroachments, emphasizing the importance of maintaining clear roadways for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Authorities have underscored the ongoing nature of this initiative, stating that the drive will continue in the coming weeks to ensure compliance and prevent any recurrence of such violations.
