A magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck Morocco, specifically 56 km W of Oukaïmedene, late on Friday night, as reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The epicenter is located 72 kilometers west of Marrakesh, a significant economic center.
The earthquake occurred at 03:41:01 (UTC+05:30) at a depth of 18.5 km, causing tremors from Sidi Ifni in the south to Rabat in the north and beyond.
